Introducing Groundwater Physics

by Mary P. Anderson, Physics Today, May 2007

I have a background in telecommunications engineering and sometimes I really enjoy reading about principles of phenomena that I observe with InSAR. This review paper was suggested by my advisor as a good read, and sure it was a very good one.

Radio Eye In The Sky

by David Schneider - IEEE Spectrum

I have been quietly watching the SAR sensor developments at BYU for quite some time now. It seems like with their new company "ImSAR" they are making a dream come true. How about a palm size Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) sensor?

This article is a part of the Winners and Losers series of IEEE's membership magazine Spectrum. Try to guess if it is a winner or a loser technology?

It is an inspirational book written in a dialogue style on the experiences of a young entrepreneur, starting business life as a contractor, and becoming a big time education pioneer.

The book is published in Turkish,  from Turkiye Is Bankasi Kultur Yayinlari. It's organized by Serhat Ozturk.

I purchased it online from Netkitap.com

Codes

An Introduction to Information Communication and Cryptography

This book is written by Norman L. Biggs, father of one of the coolest people I ever met, Juliet Biggs.  I got this as a gift from her for my birthday in 2008. Information theory and cryptography were among my favorite topics in college, and with the author's style, it is a very nice read. Once again, thanks Juliet.

The book is published by Springer can be purchased from Amazon.

Relativity

by Albert Einstein, Barnes and Noble, New York, 2008. Originally published in 1920

This is a book originally authored by Einstein himself, and translated by Robert W. Lawson in 1920. It is a very nice to read Albert Einstein's own thoughts about theory of relativity. When I first heard about the theory of relativity I was perplexed by it's complexity, though reading this book page by page, allows you to walk on the foot steps of Einstein seeing how the theory evolved.

The book can be purchased from: Barnes and Noble
