Make Figures for DorisI really like the clear step by step approach that Doris brings to interferometry. But I must admit, once I iron out the problems in a dataset I use an external wrapper script which processes lots of interferograms one after the other. However, there is one catch with that, I couldn't figure out how to get Doris' internal image creation routines to work. So I wrote this little script to go through a given result (.res) file and create visual images of output. |

Running World Wind on Linux I am at the Virtual Earth's session at AGU 2008 Fall Meeting, and I just spoke to some NASA World Wind people. I immediately asked if it was possible to run World Wind on Ubuntu, and they seemed surprised that I couldn't get it to run so far. So what I was told is that, you need to download the source and add it as a project to your favorite Java IDE (Eclipse). Then we should be able to run it from there. One last note I was told to install the proprietary graphics drivers. |

Moving Average In Matlab Often I find myself in need of averaging the data I have to reduce the noise a little bit. I wrote couple functions to do exactly what I want, but matlab's built in filter function works pretty good as well. Here I'll write about 1D and 2D averaging of data. |

SuSE on Windows XP with CoLinuxNowadays I am actually using VirtualBox for virtualizing Windows XP on Linux, but back in the day I put together some information on how to run my SuSE installation (on a different partition on the same computer) within XP. I found it while cleaning up my hard drive, and I didn't want to toss it, thinking it might be useful for someone. Please keep in mind that the notes below are at least 1 year old, meaning it is from Summer 2007. |

Message Box for Matlab I don't know about you, but I was in love with the Message Box (MsgBox) function back in the day when I was programming with Visual Basic. And may be I am missing a cool function of Matlab, but so far I haven't found a simple function that can tell you about how your process is doing. |
